Create Dynamic Signature Lines

You automate dynamic signature lines in your templates with conditional fields. Let’s say you want to create signature lines based on the number of Guarantors you have.

1. Create a single-select field with the number of guarantors
(If you want to set up more than 3 options, just click on the + sign )

2. Create conditional inputs for the guarantors’ names
Create a field for every guarantor, and based on the number you select, your fields will be included.
e.g.
Field Name: Guarantor 1
Field Type: Conditional Field
IF: How many Guarantors are? greater than 0
THEN: Input

Continue with Guarantor 2 and 3:

Field Name: Guarantor 2
Field Type: Conditional Field
IF: How many Guarantors are? greater than 1
THEN: Input

Field Name: Guarantor 3
Field Type: Conditional Field
IF: How many Guarantors are? greater than 2
THEN: Input

3. Create a conditional field that handles your dynamic signature line
Simply copy the signature line from your core document, then in the following line reference Guarantor 1’s name: click the grey textbox on the bottom right of your “THEN” textbox and select the field you previously built.

Follow the same steps and add a condition of how the signature line should look if there are 2 or 3 Guarantors. Lastly, insert this field into your core document.

Copy the fields from this sample template, and you don’t even have to build this from scratch!:
